2019 has been an exciting year so far, here at The Honey Baked Ham Co.® After initiating last year’s successful rollout of our updated look – including our entire franchise development website – and wrapping up another year of steady development, we’ve been moving full-steam ahead to capitalize on our momentum and keep franchise growth going strong.
So Much to Celebrate
With over 400 locations around the country and many more to come, we’ve come a long way from the humble Detroit store that started it all. We’re thrilled to keep our legacy of quality, tradition and innovation growing as we prepare to open even more HoneyBaked locations over the next few months. And as we look ahead to those openings, we wanted to take some time to celebrate all the new franchise locations that have opened since the beginning of the year.
Congratulations are in Order
Back in February, we celebrated the grand opening of Morristown, Tennessee’s first HoneyBaked store. The Morristown HoneyBaked location’s first-time store owner and operator Jennifer Hernon represents everything our brand admires: hard work, commitment and an unmatched dedication to serving delicious, high-quality food.
A Day for Friends, Family and Community Support
Like so many HoneyBaked Grand Opening Celebrations, the results were phenomenal. The corporate marketing and franchise development teams work with each new franchisee to make the Grand Opening Day a special event that marks an exciting new beginning and starts each store off on the right foot. The grassroots and local marketing efforts that led up to the Morristown Grand Opening helped drive the success of the event. There was a prize wheel that customers could spin to win, a quarter-ham giveaway raffle every quarter-hour and, because it was Valentine’s Day, we spread the love with BOGO sandwiches.
The Results
Overall, the event was a home run, kicking off Jennifer’s ownership journey with a big sales boost of several hundred transactions – which goes to show the number of people in attendance! HoneyBaked Grand Openings are a great way for the community to rally around a new business – it marks the beginning of an important relationship between each HoneyBaked franchisee and the community they love.
And That’s Not All
Between then and now, we’ve celebrated even more HoneyBaked Franchise Grand Openings, including Loveday Uduhiri’s first store Open House in Bowie, Maryland on April 11, and the grand opening of Mike Bradbury’s second HoneyBaked location in Fort Wayne, Indiana on March 30! Congratulations to all!
We’re also looking forward to three new HoneyBaked franchise locations opening toward the end of the summer – in Mequon, Wisconsin; Leesburg, Virginia and another in Pooler, Georgia. We’re thrilled to be welcoming so many new franchisees into the HoneyBaked franchise community, and we look forward to even more sweet celebrations throughout 2019.
