Getting Involved as a HoneyBaked Ham Franchisee

People placing HoneyBaked gold-foiled ham into boxes

At HoneyBaked Ham, we pride ourselves on the people-focused values that have helped establish our brand as a national icon and an American favorite. Our commitment to our values helps us uphold our standards of exceptional quality and service. They also act as a simple guide for doing good business by encouraging every member of the HoneyBaked Ham family to do the right thing and to make a difference both inside and outside our stores.

As a business owner, becoming an active participant in your community enriches the lives of the people within it and establishes trust and loyalty with more customers every day. And because of our four streams of year-round revenue – retail, lunch, catering and gifting – and our reasonable working hours, HoneyBaked Ham franchisees have been able to use their time and means to get involved and make a positive impact in their communities while driving business.

It Starts With Your Store

Once you become a HoneyBaked Ham franchisee, our development and real estate teams work with you to determine the perfect store location and guide you as you decide on a local contractor to get it built. By hiring a contractor or subcontractors from within your community, you’re helping to bolster the area’s economy. This can help bring more traffic to your business when you open your doors through organic word-of-mouth marketing and by establishing a positive relationship with those that live and work nearby.

Look for Other Partnership Opportunities

Joining organizations like the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International or Kiwanis International can help your business grow and give you an opportunity to connect with other business owners in town. Business-to-business networking can add value through community-focused events and partnerships. On top of that, joining an interconnected group of businesses can help foster critical alliances that can contribute to meaningful legislation within the community.

Make a Difference

As a HoneyBaked Ham owner, participating in or organizing community events like fundraisers or festivals, or donating to local causes, sports teams, food pantries or other organizations can help solidify your standing as a community staple. This will keep your store top-of-mind when community members are deciding where to host their next event – not to mention the rewarding feeling of fulfillment that comes with doing good for those around you.

Some HoneyBaked Ham franchisees, like Jeff & Toni Madden of Huntington, WV have even created their own charities, like Lend a Helping Ham. LAH2, as it’s known locally, is a charitable effort in which HoneyBaked Ham Huntington teams up with Marshall University Medical Outreach to provide for those in need. The Maddens also spend some of their time away from their store volunteering with United Way of the River Cities, an organization dedicated to a variety of charitable causes.

Establishing yourself as an integral part of your local community can leave a lasting impact on your HoneyBaked Ham store. Whether it’s simply by employing local team members or supporting local causes, your contributions to your community make you stand out as a champion of our values and a true ambassador of the HoneyBaked Ham brand.
