Congratulations IFA Franchisee of the Year Matt Davis

We’re excited to announce a special Franchisee recognition recently went to one of our own! Matt Davis took the stage at the 63rd International Franchise Association Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, to receive a very special award. The IFA selects outstanding individual leaders to receive its Franchisee of the Year Award. With over 1,400 franchised business members and all their franchisees, there are many impressive candidates vying to win this award.

Nominated by their parent company, franchisees are chosen for their service to their communities, helping and enlivening the workforce, supporting fellow franchisees, and promoting the franchise business model. Before this year, a HoneyBaked franchisee had yet to claim this top prize!

“The best in franchising. This is the highest honor IFA awards to individual franchisees, and these local business owners exemplify the power of franchising and its countless positive contributions to communities around the world.”

– Matthew Haller, IFA President and CEO

Matt Davis ended 2022 by signing the largest franchise development agreement in HoneyBaked’s 65-year history. Under The Davis Restaurant Group, they will add seven additional stores across four states through 2025, making it the most prominent franchise group within the HoneyBaked franchise system with 13 locations. Buoyed by HoneyBaked’s three generations of product innovations and excellent support structure, Matt is expanding on the legacy his father established in 1998 as one of the original HoneyBaked franchisees. The Davis Restaurant Group appreciates our #HAMFAM, enjoys serving others, and prioritizes giving back to their communities.

“I keep a list of goals that I adjust almost every year. The goals I put on the list are reachable with dedication and hard work. Being honored with the IFA Franchisee of the year award never made it to my list of goals because I wouldn’t have dreamed it was within reach.”

– Matt Davis, The Davis Restaurant Group

Sharing our proven and adaptable business model, our franchisees can work hard and reach heights beyond their dreams. What does this mean for HoneyBaked and all our future franchisees? Adding more deli franchises is like adding our secret crunchy glaze to our premium smoked ham– it makes everything better. New locations allow us to reach more markets, spreading brand awareness and increasing advertising revenue. With our wide selection of premium foods, our franchise family can offer something that appeals to everyone.

“Winning the IFA FOY award isn’t a result of something for me personally. I would not have been able to develop and grow my business without the strength and support of my team of managers and staff.”

– Matt Davis, The Davis Restaurant Group
