Becoming a HoneyBaked franchisee is easier than you might think. Plus, you’ll have our support every step of the way.
Reach Out for More Information
The first step to becoming a HoneyBaked franchisee is simply reaching out on our franchise website. After you send us your contact information, we will reach out to schedule a time to hop on the phone and chat.
Chat with a Member of the HoneyBaked Team
This chat with one of our trusted franchise development representatives is your first opportunity to ask any questions you might have about the HoneyBaked franchise opportunity. We encourage you to prepare for the call by coming up with a list of questions about our brand, our proven operations and what makes HoneyBaked different from any other franchise opportunity.
Submit Your Franchise Application
After you get your first round of questions answered, our team will send you a franchise application to fill out and return to us. We will evaluate this to determine if you and HoneyBaked will be a perfect match.
Attend a Franchise Webinar
While the HoneyBaked team spends some time going over the paperwork, you’ll have the opportunity to attend a franchise webinar. This discussion will provide you with useful information about the franchising process and what owning a HoneyBaked store entails.
Receive Our Franchise Disclosure Document
Once we’ve evaluated and approved your franchise application, we will send you our franchise disclosure document, or FDD. This doc has all of the nitty-gritty information about the HoneyBaked franchise system including initial investment costs, franchisor expectations, proprietary systems and materials and more.
Join a Q&A Session
Once you carefully read the HoneyBaked FDD, we will schedule another opportunity for you to ask more specific questions. Your franchise development contact should be able to answer all of your questions from revenue streams, to marketing systems, to community engagement.
Create Business-Building Scenarios
We will send you the HoneyBaked business template. You will use this template to create business-building scenarios that will help prepare you to grow your HoneyBaked business.
Meet Current HoneyBaked Franchisees
Known in the franchising world as validation, this is when you will speak to current franchisees about the perks and challenges of owning a HoneyBaked business. This is an opportunity to ask questions about the day-to-day life of a HoneyBaked franchisee from the people who can answer them best.
Attend Discovery Day
Now you’re ready for a trip to Atlanta! Discovery Day is your opportunity to visit our corporate headquarters and immerse yourself in what it means to be a part of The Honey Baked Ham Co. By the end of the day, you’ll have a more complete understanding of our franchisee-franchisor relationship and the level of support you will have in building your HoneyBaked business.
Sign Your Franchise Agreement
Like any legal document, we encourage you to read your franchise agreement carefully and make sure you understand it. Once you sign your HoneyBaked franchise agreement, you are officially a HoneyBaked franchisee!
Attend HoneyBaked Franchisee Training
Our franchisee training program includes online classes, a visit to our Customer Support Center and hands-on operations training at an open and operating HoneyBaked store. If you don’t have a lot of experience in the food service industry, we support you with an extra week of hands-on training so you’re ready to own — and operate — your very own store.
Select Your Site
Working with our professional real estate and construction support team, you will choose the perfect site for your HoneyBaked store using market analysis and your knowledge about your community.
Build Your Store
Our construction team will provide you with support during your store’s build-out period by assisting you with reviewing bids and sourcing equipment.
And Finally… Host Your Grand Opening!
You did it! You’re ready to bring our delicious, crunchy-glazed, spiral-cut ham to your community. And it all starts with one step: reaching out for more information today.
